The friendly match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Scotland on Wednesday night, is being investigated by Police after match-fixing claims were made.
Officers of the National Crime Agency, have tipped off world governing body FIFA over a possible attempt to rig the fixture, although there is no suggestion that the Scottish players are involved in any potential fraud.
The match at Craven Cottage is also expected to go ahead, as the African champions continue their preparations for the 2014 World Cup.
The SFA and National Crime Agency refused to comment on the story, but a spokesman said: “The NCA will from time to time provide operational detail necessary for public reassurance purposes. It does not routinely confirm or deny the existence of specific operations or provide ongoing commentary on operational activity.”
