An elephant, famed for its psychic prediction of the results of football matches, has projected that Germany will defeat Ghana at the World Cup, making it difficult for the Black Stars to reach the second round of the competition in Brazil this month.
The psychic elephant known as Nelly, which rightly predicted 30 of 33 results of the 2010 World Cup Euro 2012 and the Champions League final of 2013 predicted that the Black Stars won’t be able to defeat the Germans.
Nelly’s predictions are similar to ‘Paul the Octopus’ which rightly predicted all the results of the matches of the Euro 2008 and FIFA World Cup 2010.
Nelly, the animal based at the Serengeti Park in Hodenhagen, Germany, is similar in many ways to ‘Paul the Octopus’ which has sparked major concerns for Ghanaians with his doom prediction.
Through the animal kicking the ball into the net in the Group of Death, Nelly predicted that Germany will thrash Ghana and the USA and draw with Portugal during their Group G campaign.
Her projections have been welcomed by the German national team with ex-Germany goalkeeper, Sepp Maier agreeing with the predictions of the elephants through he kicks of the ball in the posts.
“I share Nelly’s predictions, that we will draw against Portugal and win against the USA and Ghana. So we’ll stay in the tournament,” Maier, said.
Nelly rightly predicted Bayern Munich’s victory over German rivals Borussia Dortmund in the final of the 2013 UEFA Champions League in 2013.
Some superstitious Ghanaians will be desperate on measures to be used to nullify the prediction of Nelly with the match between the Black Stars and Germany scheduled for June 21.
Do you think this prediction by this animal will come to pass? Do you think this is just a vain prediction? Should Kwaku Bonsam be called to neutralise Nelly’s power? Make your views known in the box below:
