Musa wins league again.
World Cup-bound Ahmed Musa is a champion in Russia for the second year running as his club CSKA Moscow emerged league winners again.
Army team CSKA Moscow defeated Locomotiv Moscow 1-0 on Thursday in the last match of the season to clinch their fifth Russian league title with 64 points, just a point ahead of second-placed Zenit St.Petersburg.
The Nigeria international forward, who has been out for a while due to injury, was a 79th minute substitute for A.Dzagoev.
"I am very delighted to have won the league again," he said.
“My target for the season was a league and cup double, but I thank God we won the league. It has not been easy but we battled through.
“I am happy to be back from injury and take part in this game."
This successful league championship defence means CSKA will feature in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
